Beware the Daddy

Do not use GoDaddy

GoDaddy is a bad domain provider: they’ll lock you in and you can’t get out.

I use Porkbun; it’s cheap and it works and it’s not a PITA to move your stuff. Formerly, I was a GoogleDomains customer, but they have added another body to the list.

I haven’t evaluated many other domain providers, but stay away from GoDaddy, and remember that Google is a preeminent killer of cool things.

I found out that GoDaddy got sued by the FTC.

Again, I’d recommend not using them, but I want to point out that I sniped the FTC by 5 days.
