It was great when it came out: it filled the niche that was weirdly difficult to fill on the web.

Things changed, and by June 29, 2020 Stackoverflow wasn’t really the same, and resorted to pumping out blogspam that no one reads (as opposed to my “nonspam” that no one reads. “Artisanal nothing”)

Parameter Arrays are Bad Abstractions

Don’t set a bunch of data in a row like [1, "new", False] and just to pass it to a function and expect it to behave well.

If you’ve ever had to set or unset a bunch of parameters sequentially you’ve probably been tempted to jam it into an array and call it done. Avoiding the dreaded parameter list is noble, but consider that what you are about to do is a terrible idea.

Setting up a Godot CI/CD Server

I’ve been trying out the Godot game engine, and I’m starting to really like it: Godot is pretty intuitive, it natively supports and sets up git, it’s not too hard to understand the core principles, and a growing group of creators is using it to create stuff and sharing their work.
